Data controller
Research!Sweden is the data controller for the processing of personal data. Information on how to contact us can be found under the “Contact us” section at the top right of our website.

Purpose and legal basis

Research!Sweden needs to collect and process personal data to fulfil our mission – to inform and raise awareness around the importance of medical research for health and prosperity. This constitutes the legal basis for the processing of personal data.

Processing of personal data

The personal data we primarily collect and use includes names and contact details. The purpose of processing these personal data is to provide central decision makers with factual information about medical research for health and prosperity and to inform other key stakeholders about Research!Sweden’s activities and events organized as part of our mission.

In connection with information dissemination through our digital communication channels and our communication materials, other personal data, such as photos with names, may be collected. You decide whether you want to provide us with this information for publication.
The personal data is stored with us as long as you are interested in the information we send out.
We do not conduct profiling, i.e. the automatic processing of your personal data to assess certain personal characteristics or to analyze or predict your work performance, economic situation, health, personal preferences, interests, reliability, behavior, location, or movements.

Recipients of Personal Data

We do not intend to transfer personal data to third countries outside the EU. We have data processors (trusted third parties) who may access your personal data in connection with performing their services in information storage and dissemination. Data processing agreements have been signed with these parties to protect your privacy.

Your Rights

If you provide personal data to us, you have the right to:

  1. Receive information and access to your personal data processed by us free of charge.
  2. Have incorrect or incomplete personal data corrected without undue delay.
  3. Have your personal data deleted without undue delay.
  4. Request restriction of processing.
  5. Have your personal data transferred to another data controller.
  6. Object to processing at any time if we cannot demonstrate legitimate grounds for processing the personal data.
  7. Not be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing, including profiling, except for contracts, explicit consent, or other provisions in national law.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection if you believe your personal data is not being processed as described above. Send a signed written request to our address to request access to, amend, or delete your personal data.
